Isabella joined PYATOK in 2025, upon graduating University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Architecture and a Minor in Nonprofit Administration. At school, her interests in sustainability quickly grew to include design of more equitable, transit-oriented communities and affordable housing. Isabella studied abroad in Copenhagen through the DIS program, learning about Scandinavian urban design, and toured Istanbul as part of UO’s mixed-use housing studio. After graduating, she returned to Denmark to temporarily live and work at a permaculture village and farm, discovering the community’s innovative systems for more sustainable living.

Isabella sees design as creation with intention, and appreciates the opportunity it presents to improve day-to-day life through functionality and aesthetics. She approaches socially-equitable design through understanding the current and ideal lifestyles of individuals and groups who would use the architecture; here, design can create stepping stones that ease the journey of building users towards their goals and aspirations.
