As a Principal at PYATOK, Adrianne dedicates her 20-plus-year career to advancing the design of affordable housing, walkable urbanism, community engagement, and sustainable cities. Her work has significantly influenced student and multifamily residential developments and households of all incomes across the San Francisco Bay Area. Adrianne is a highly skilled technical architect and project manager who has led several large urban housing projects, overseeing design work, construction documentation, permitting, and construction administration, while also leading our office in the advancement of BIM techniques/implementation and staff development and training.
Adrianne is a highly-engaged member of the profession. She has served on several national committees of the American Institute of Architects, is a former Chair of the Bay Area Young Architects for AIA San Francisco, a seven-year board member and former president of AIASF Executive Committee, and a former Board member for the Phi Sigma Pi Foundation. Recemtly, Adrianne chaired the AIA Housing and Community Development Knowledge Community and continues to serve as an active member. She has represented American architects to federal agencies and abroad, advocating for housing as a human right and furthering the United Nations’ Sustainable Cities & Communities development goal. Adrianne has served on several design juries including for the Bank of America Low Income Housing Challenge, for AIA Minnesota’s Affordable Housing Design Awards Program, for the AIA/ACSA Housing Design Education Award, and for the AIA/HUD Secretary’s Awards.
A licensed architect in California and Oregon and a LEED Accredited Professional in BD+C and Homes, Adrianne holds a Master in Architecture with a minor in Film Studies from Tulane University. In 2015, the AIA recognized Adrianne as one of its Young Architects of the Year; ten years later, Adrianne was elevated to the AIA College of Fellows, in recognition of her excellence in the profession and significant contributions to architecture and society on a national level. Also in 2025, AIA San Francisco honored Adrianne with their inaugural Marsha Maytum Citizen Architect Award for her enduring commitment to housing advocacy, public-interest architecture, and community service.
Adrianne is an active world traveler, ferocious advocate for women in architecture, avid soccer fan, occasional competitive runner, and opinionated viewer of movies.
Good design is as little design as possible.
